Welcome! I'm Jessie Taylor, founder and principal of New Leaf Administration. Alongside my professional work, I’m a proud mom, wife, and artist, fueled by coffee and a heart full of purpose.

My professional journey began almost 20 years ago in the private sector, but over time, I discovered my true calling—working with communities and empowering others. I left my corporate job and returned to school to earn a degree in Family Studies & Women’s Studies, diving deeper into my passion for community work and social impact.

I have experience spanning the private, healthcare, government, and non-profit sectors, gaining a diverse and deep understanding of the critical “behind the scenes” efforts that drive success.

Now my mission is to flex my top skills as a business partner and certified Trauma-Informed Coach. 

In addition to my work in anti-human trafficking, domestic violence, and mental health advocacy, I've had the opportunity to engage in program management, business development, event planning, research, training and facilitation. 

I’ve also had the privilege of speaking on topics such as trauma-informed principles, human trafficking in Nova Scotia, women in business, mental health and well-being, navigating career transitions and issues women face in leadership.

Proceeds of my consulting services provide funding for Project BraveArt, an initiative dedicated to offering therapeutic arts-based activities to survivors of trauma. It merges my passion for art with my commitment to helping individuals heal from the emotional and psychological wounds of trauma. Through Project BraveArt, I can offer survivors the tools and safe space they need to explore their emotions, reclaim their voices, and heal through creativity.

I can be your “professional figure-outer” and business operations partner, you get peace of mind, your business blooms and survivors of trauma are able to receive additional support - this is my dream come true :) 

When I am not busy dreaming and scheming more ways to grow New Leaf Administration, I’m busy reading ri-donkulous amounts of books at one time, gardening, painting, mauling our dog, cat and bearded dragon, and embarrassing our children with my terrible dance moves and singing voice 😊
